This process is basically carried out in a closed-loop system, where compressed nitrogen is passed through nozzles to atomize molten aluminum into droplets, which are then cooled by large amounts of nitrogen to form metal powder. Subsequently, a classification system sieves aluminum powder of different particle size ranges and performs secondary classification, and the classified spherical aluminum powder is released using baghouse dust removal technology.

This process is safer compared to air atomization, producing spherical aluminum powder that has high reactivity and high application value.

Aluminum powder has good covering ability, strong shielding capability, optical properties that easily reflect light, and unique 'bicolor effect' characteristics. Therefore, aluminum powder is widely used in industries such as metallic aluminum pigments (aluminum silver powder, aluminum silver paste, etc.—aluminum powder for pigments needs to be first ball-milled into flakes), solar electronic pastes, refractory materials, pharmaceutical intermediates, and chemical catalysts. It can also be used for fingerprint detection and making fireworks.
